A merry and bright market

Lincoln’s refurbed Cornhill Market is set to sparkle in the run up to Christmas with a brand new festive light show.

Merry and Bright is an indoor display, facilitated by Peachy Events, bringing a 20-foot Christmas tree to the heart of the market as part of a synchronised light and sound show featuring a classic festive soundtrack.

Cllr Joshua Wells, Portfolio Holder for Inclusive Economic Growth at City of Lincoln Council said: “Merry and Bright has been designed to delight our community and bring new energy to the Cornhill Market during the festive season.

“The indoor light show is the perfect excuse to explore the new market and discover all the fantastic products that the vendors have to offer.”

The spectacle aims to get shoppers in the Christmas spirit with projections on the market’s glass ceiling, dynamic effects and colourful light installations. 

“It’s an experience that blends cutting-edge lighting technology with the timeless joy of Christmas, and we hope it will be enjoyed by all.”

Visitors will have chance to enjoy the seasonal show every hour, on the hour, from 10am during market hours from now until January 2.
