Vandals damage Roman Wall

CCTV footage is being scrutinised to identify the vandals who caused significant damage to the Roman wall outside City Hall overnight Saturday/Sunday.

City of Lincoln Council camera operators are working with Lincolnshire Police to catch the culprits and anyone with information is urged to get in touch with the police via 101, quoting incident 143 of 24 August.

The Romans are thought to have built Lincoln’s walls at the start of the second century, so have stood for around 1,800 years.
