Pop-up Co-op opens in Nettleham today
A pop-up shop selling life’s essentials opened in Nettleham today after the village’s Co-op was damaged by fire.
Lincolnshire Co-op has set up the temporary shop in the car park of its Nettleham food store, which was extensively damaged by the blaze on April 17, which will see it and the post office closed for four months.
The pop-up will be open from 8am until 8pm daily and will sell a small range of goods including milk, bread, eggs, fruit and vegetables along with groceries such as pasta, rice and tined food. Chilled products such as meat, cheese, butter and spreads will also be available as well as confectionary, newspapers, tobacco and vapes.
It currently does not sell alcohol due to licensing but the Co-op hopes to introduce this at a later date.
Lincolnshire Co-op has also set up a shuttlebus service to its store, pharmacy and post office in Welton and from next Tuesday (May 27) it will offer two morning return trips each weekday with the pick-up point opposite The Green.
The service will now leave Nettleham at 10am and 10.30am returning from Welton at 10.45am and 11.20am.
