No asylum seekers at hotel

No asylum seekers are staying at the IBIS Hotel off the A46 Lincoln bypass in North Hykeham according to police.

The Lincolnshire Force said it was aware of a planned protest at the hotel, but this was the result of misinformation about it being used for asylum seeker accommodation.

“We have been in contact with the management team at the IBIS Hotel who have confirmed the hotel is currently under refurbishment and is due to change ownership.”

The protest is thought follow similar demonstrations in Epping where the local council obtained a High Court ruling blocking a hotel from accommodating migrants.
