New community hub opens on Ermine estate

A new wellbeing hub and coffee house has officially opened on the Ermine East estate in Lincoln.

Named the Ermine Exchange, the space is operated by Alive Church and is intended to provide residents with a place to connect, take part in activities, join community groups, or spend time in a relaxed environment.

The new hub is part of a wider project aimed at strengthening services and improving facilities at both Ermine Library and the Sudbrooke Drive Community Centre.

City of Lincoln Council has worked in partnership with Alive Church and Bishop Grosseteste University on the project, which seeks to improve accessibility and create more welcoming spaces for the community.

The development has been funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), supported by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

The project forms part of a broader strategy to enhance community services and engagement within the area.
