Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man suffered a serious injury in Stapleford Avenue, Lincoln.

Our officers were called at 8.05pm on Saturday following reports of a man in his 30s having sustained a severe injury to his arm.

The man was found in a black Toyota Auris car and following treatment at the scene was quickly taken to hospital. He has suffered serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.

Officers have since arrested two men - aged 29 and 41 and both from the Lincoln area – in connection with this incident.

They are now appealing for anyone who was in the area between 7pm and 8pm on Saturday evening and may have seen what happened to the victim to contact us.

“Did you see a weapon being used, or spot anyone entering or leaving Stapleford Avenue between these times?” asked a police spokesperson.

“Officers are also keen for anyone who has CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to get in touch, as even the smallest detail could prove crucial to our investigation.”
