Did you attend the second Lincoln Festival of History earlier this month?

The series of historic displays, enlightening lectures, time-travelling tours and tournaments has been hailed a great success by the organisers at City of Lincoln Council.

And Stuart Wilde’s great images from the events show the crowds of visitors who attended across the first May bank holiday weekend enjoying the action across the city.

The Hospital of the Holy Innocents, Thursday May 29, Lincoln Guildhall - Dr Samantha Tipper will take you on a journey back in time to around 1098 to hear about Lincoln’s Hospital of the Holy Innocents, a leprosarium, built on the city’s South Common. Medieval Discoveries:
A Learning and Career Journey, Friday May, Lincoln Guildhall - debates and thought-provoking conversations will led by the University’s current and previous MA Medieval Studies students, who will share their ‘medieval discoveries’ and reflect upon the skills they have acquired and enhanced throughout their learning journey.
