Vigilantes ready to rock at Lincoln Live

JO RICHARDS continues Hello Lincoln’s countdown to Lincoln Live by giving readers the lowdown on the performers who will be taking to the stage during the city’s two-day music extravaganza at the end of this month.

Introducing…Vigilantes, an indie rock band from Lincolnshire, which will be headlining the Lincoln Live 2025 event in City Square on Saturday, August 30. 

They’ve been together for 10 years and their rock history is impressive, cruising through the festival scene and supporting such giants as the Libertines and Circa Waves. 

They have also caught the attention of some big media names. Tom Robinson on 6Music said, “The power and the tightness of the playing – Vigilantes will blow your socks off live.”

September sees the release of their debut album, Golden Record,described as, ‘an exploration of the grandness of our universe and the intimate depths of personal relationships’.

It’s a reference to the records sent up in the Voyager spacecrafts in 1977, which sampled the sounds of life on Earth for extraterrestrials who might intercept them. 

Frontman, James, says the band intend to give everything to playing live this summer: “We’ve only done one performance in Lincoln in the last year, so we’re passionate about making our set a real show.”
