Teenager Jude takes control of his sound
We’re just a few weeks away from Lincoln Live – two days of showcasing young, local talent at two venues in the city.
Counting down to the event, Hello Lincoln is delighted to introduce Jo Richards who is a fan of the local music scene and will giving readers the lowdown on the bands playing at Lincoln Live – Saturday-Sunday, August 30-31 – as well as reviewing the event.

Introducing…Jude Forsey, a young singer/song-writer from Wollaton, who combines indie pop with electronic sounds to project the emotional delivery of his introspective lyrics.
At only seventeen, he’s already an experienced performer who appeared on the BBC Introducing stage in Nottingham last year and more recently at Dubrek Studios in Derby. His newest EP, titled, ‘Things I Wish I Said,’ is a collection of romantic experiences played out with gentle, atmospheric melodies and intricate acoustic guitar.
The songs feel like moments from a personal love story, which take you briefly into his world and end before you become weary. Jude has been busy mastering sound engineering skills, so he has full artistic control over his songs.
“The production side used to scare me a little bit because I was all about the songwriting…then I just fell in love with it eventually.”
Jude will be in Lincoln with Bella Unsworth this year – it’ll be exciting to see how this vocal partnership brings a new dimension to his work.
