Laura’s jewellery inspired by nature

Wearable Pieces of Nature will be the subject of Laura Baxter’s art talk at St Nicholas’ Church Hall next week.

With more than 25 years’ experience in jewellery making Laura makes silver and gold pieces inspired by botanical, natural forms and unusual gemstones.

Her work has become known for its graphic and stylised interpretations of plants with inspirations drawn from her love of gardening, horticultural tools, botanical illustrations, wildflowers and floriography.

Based at the Welbeck Estate in Sherwood Forest, Laura has exhibited widely particularly in the United States and Japan.

Hosted by Open Art Lincs (OPAL) her talk will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, June 24 and admission is £5. The church is on Newport, Lincoln (LN1 3DP) and reservations can be made at www.open-art-lincs.com/art-talks
