Waddington drugs bust
Cash and Class A drugs were seized from a property in Hawthorn Avenue, Waddington, yesterday morning.
A search warrant was executed by the Hykeham and Bracebridge Heath Neighbourhood Policing Team supported by a Tactical Support Team and Specialist Search Dogs on Wednesday at 9am.
Drug dealing activity had been noticed at the address so the property was searched by specially trained officers, who located and seized cash and drugs as part of an ongoing investigation.
Officers will remain at the scene until the search is complete. Residents should not be concerned by an increased police presence in the area.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. He remains in police custody.
“Ongoing efforts to disrupt drug dealing are strengthened by information shared by local communities, which plays a key role in identifying suspected criminal activity,” said a police spokesperson.
Anyone with concerns about drug activity should report them via 101 or anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org
