Two arrested after attack

Two men have been arrested in connection with an assault after a man was seriously injured in Lincoln.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 40s was assaulted between 4.20pm and 4.30pm last Wednesday, May 13.

The attack happened near the allotments off Witham Close, near the cycle path that runs north along the River Witham from Rookery Lane, Lincoln. 

The man in his 40s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Two men, aged 41 and 29, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and have been bailed with conditions.

“We are appealing for anyone who was in the area of the incident and saw or heard anything that maybe connected to get in touch,” said a police spokesperson.
