Police looking for training locations
Police are looking for new training venues in the Lincoln area where they can hone their skills.
The force is asking for the public’s help in finding:
• unoccupied buildings or houses
• large open spaces
• wooded areas
• road networks
“These locations would allow our officers, including armed policing teams, to train and refresh their tactics, both on foot and in vehicles, across a wide range of operational scenarios,” said a spokesperson.
“Some training may involve the use of specialist training equipment, including training rounds. However, we will always ensure that nothing is left behind.
“We aim to make our training environments as realistic as possible and are keen to work with anyone who can offer suitable spaces.”
