Moylan gets ROI call-up
Imps’ attacker Jack Moylan has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for the first time ahead of the side’s international friendly against Grenada.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed the best campaign of his career with 18 goal contributions in all competitions helping Lincoln City secure the Sky Bet League One title. Moylan also received recognition at the EFL Awards in April, making the League One Team of the Season.
It was Moylan’s goal at Reading on Easter Monday that sealed the Imps’ promotion to the Championship, which he described as the best day of his life: “You dream of moments like that when you’re a kid, to share them with such an amazing group of people is really special.”
He will now be part of the squad that takes on Grenada in Murcia on Saturday, May 16 (5pm KO) and will travel to the national team’s training camp in Spain tomorrow, May 7.
