More land needed for Central Lincolnshire Plan

More land is required to meet the development needs of the Central Lincolnshire Plan so a call has gone out for new sites.

Landowners, developers, organisations and the public are being asked to submit sites within the central Lincolnshire area that could be used for housing, employment or specific uses by February 18.

The area covers around 820 square miles of the joint planning area of Lincoln and large parts of North Kesteven to the south and West Lindsey to the north and has a population of around 320,000 people. Its aim is to guide attractive and sustainable development for homes, jobs and infrastructure across the area up to the year 2040.

As part of the Local Plan review the Central Lincolnshire Local Plans Team needs to know what land in the area is available so has issued a call for sites. Those submitted will be reviewed against known constraints and opportunities and the Team stresses that the inclusion of a site in the assessment does not guarantee its allocation in the Local Plan or that planning permission will be granted.

Submissions can be made at https://central-lincs.hub.arcgis.com/pages/call-for-sites
