Men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was found with serious injuries in Lincoln.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward as they investigate what happened to the victim, who is in hospital in a critical condition.

“We are releasing an image from the CCTV footage of the man in the hope it will prompt memories and encourage anyone who saw something at the time to contact us,” said a police spokesperson.

“The victim was last seen on CCTV walking with another man along Lincoln High Street on March 19 at around 3:36pm. After visiting the South Park convenience shop, he continued along the High Street before turning left onto Tealby Street. It is believed he may also have travelled through Sidney Street, onto Bargate, and then onto Craven Street.

“We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage capturing anything unusual or suspicious in the area.

“Any footage of the man in our image may be helpful to the investigation.

“We also urge anyone with information that could assist our investigation to come forward, to help us determine how he sustained his injuries.

The three men aged 31, 38  and 43, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remain in police custody.
