Manager of the Season accolade for Skubala

Michael Skubala has collected the League One Manager of the Season award following a successful season in charge of Lincoln City at the LNER Stadium.

In addition to sealing promotion Skubala, who has also claimed the Manager of the Month prize three times this season, has overseen an unbeaten run which currently stands at 26 games.

He was named Manager of the Season at the EFL Awards in London, capping an evening which also saw goalkeeper George Wickens, defender Sonny Bradley, midfielder Jack Moylan and captain Tendayi Darikwa named in the League One Team of the Year.

Speaking on stage at the Grosvenor Hotel in London, Michael said: "There are some awesome managers and players in League One so we have had to be at our best.

"This has been a sensational group of players and the club is really aligned. The city is buzzing and I'm really privileged to lead Lincoln City at the moment."

A spokesperson for the club added: “Everyone at Lincoln City FC would like to congratulate Sonny, Jack, George, Tendayi and Michael on their deserved recognition.”
