Lincoln man’s body found in river
Police have confirmed that the body of a man, who had fallen into the River Witham in the Stamp End area of Lincoln, has been found after a five-day search.
The force received a report of a man having fallen into the water at 8.44pm on Thursday, March 19 and efforts to locate the man have been on-going since.
A body was recovered yesterday afternoon (March 24), which has been identified as a 38-year-old man from Lincoln.
His family are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
