Lincoln City to host Chelsea

Lincoln City will host Premier League side and FIFA World Club Cup champions Chelsea in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

The tie will take place at the LNER Stadium in either the week commencing September 15 or September 22.

City will be hoping to emulate the performance of neighbour Grimsby Town, whose players are celebrating a win over Manchester United in the second round last night and will play Sheffield Wednesday in the third.

Ticket details for the LNER Stadium are yet to be confirmed but priority windows will include Gold, Silver and Bronze members.
