Lincoln City 2, Huddersfield Town 2

Huddersfield Town looked to be ending the Imps' record breaking run of undefeated League One matches until Riley Towler levelled the score in stoppage time.

City conceded two early goals at the Accu Stadium as Terriers’ birthday boy Ryan Hardie and captain Ryan Ledson scored within the first 20 minutes.

Lincoln then faced an uphill battle to get back into the match and head coach Michael Skubala praised his team’s tenacity.

"I'm really proud of the lads and this could be a huge point for us come the end of the season.

"We started a bit slow but this is an incredible group. We sorted that at half-time and in the second half we were more like us and dominated the game at times."

The way back started with an own-goal from Josh Feeney, who got on the wrong end of Tom Hamer’s long throw as the Imps applied the pressure, but it looked as if the visitors would suffer their first defeat since November 25.

Substitute Towler had other ideas after Town failed to clear a Hamer shot on goal out of the area – he was on hand to ram the ball home to the delight of 1,700 travelling fans,

Skubala added: "There are moments where it's going to be tough.

"We're never going to have everything our own way - especially at well-coached clubs in big stadiums.

"To come here and have the team sit off us is huge credit to us, but we have to be better when that happens.

"In the second half we always looked like we'd score and had a big penalty shout (from Feeney’s handball).”
