Injured man dies in hospital
The man who was found with serious injuries in Lincoln last week has now died.
Karol Czyz, 56, was found in an address in Lincoln on 21 March with serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remained until he sadly died last Tuesday (March 24).
His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist police officers. Karol’s death is being treated as suspicious.
Investigators continue to appeal for witnesses and any CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage that may assist the investigation.
Last week police shared CCTV footage of Karol walking down Lincoln High Street.Those pictures are published here again, along with a family photo of Karol, in a bid to discover the circumstances surrounding his death.
“We are particularly interested in any dashcam or doorbell footage from the area highlighted within the map we have also shared. We have highlighted the route we believe he took in red, but any information or CCTV footage could help our investigation,” said a spokesperson.
Karol was last seen on Lincoln High Street at 3:36pm on Thursday 19 March, walking with another man, near Tealby Street.
Three men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and have been released on police bail as the investigation into Karol's death continues.
