Imps’ open top bus route confirmed
The route has been confirmed for Lincoln City FC’s celebration parade through the city on an open top bus.
Spectators are encouraged to line the route of the parade to celebrate the Imps’ historic Sky Bet League One title win. It will take place from 2.30-4pm on Saturday May 9.
The parade, sponsored by City of Lincoln Council and ProAmpac, will start from the southern end of the High Street - where it meets South Park Avenue - before heading north and east along Tentercroft Street.
The route will pass through the city centre via St Mary's Street, Wigford Way and Silver Street, and will also loop around Lincoln Cathedral. The parade will head up Newport and Riseholme Road, with the parade concluding in line with the Lincoln Imp pub.
“With a large crowd expected, please arrive early - everyone would love to see fans across the entire route,” said a club spokesperson.
Shoppers coming into Lincoln on parade morning are being asked to leave the city by 1.30pm to ease congestion and release car parking spaces. Spectators are also reminded to stay on pavements or viewing areas and that drones and flares are banned.
