Imps in Vertu Trophy draw this afternoon

The Imps will host Rotherham United, Huddersfield Town, Fleetwood Town or Chesterfield in the second round of the Vertu Trophy.

City will find out their opponents in this afternoon’s draw when they will be ball No.4 in Draw A of the northern section.

As Group D winners the Imps are guaranteed a home tie against a team that finished second in its group.

The round of 32 tie will take place at the LNER Stadium in either the week beginning November 24 or December 1.

The Vertu Trophy is a midweek knockout cup competition which includes Clubs from EFL League One and League Two, plus an additional 16 invited sides.
