Family homeless after fire

A fire at their house on Sunday has left a North Hykeham family homeless.

Emergency services were called to the house on Ferrous Way where five crews from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue extinguished the blaze.

There was no-one in the house at the time and it is understood there were no injuries in the blaze, but the home was extensively damaged and was left uninhabitable. The property is so unstable fire investigators were unable to conduct a full safety report, so the cause remains unknown.
