Bypass roadworks
Work by utility companies for the North Hykeham relief road will see roadworks and diversions in place over the coming weeks.
Cllr David East, spokesperson for Lincolnshire County Council Highways explained: “National Grid and Anglian Water will both be temporarily closing local roads this summer to carry out utility diversions essential to the North Hykeham Relief Road project.
“Diverting the overhead electrical lines along South Hykeham Road and the water mains at Grantham Road are 100% necessary ahead of us building the two new roundabouts later in the scheme.
“I want to thank everyone in advance for bearing with us while National Grid and Anglian Water complete these works for the relief road project. We’ve been assured by both companies that they will do all they can to carry these works out as efficiently as possible.”
