Appeal after man found with serious head injury

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found with a serious head injury on Scothern Road, Nettleham, last month.

Officers want to establish what happened to the man before he was discovered on February 23 - he remains in hospital in critical care and is unable to speak to police.

“It is not normal practice for us to share a photo of someone who has been injured, but as part of our lines of enquiry, we are asking members of the public to see if they have any recollection of seeing this man and can help us piece together what may have happened to him. His family are aware of this post.”

Investigators are particularly keen to speak to anyone who:

  • travelled through Nettleham village between 12:50 am and 01:45am on  February 23;
  • anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage in the area from the time;
  • anyone who witnessed directly what happened to the man.
