Time shift video of demolished Castle Hill House

Did you know that there used to be a house on what is now Castle Hill car park?

Neither did we until watching this shift video from Light and Dreams Photography

Creator John Bennett explained: “I've done many videos that include the fascinating building that used to sit in front of Lincoln Castle by its east gate.

“After recently finding another wonderful old photo of it I decided to put them all together in this time shift collection. The building in question is Castle Hill House, once part home to the County Club and County Newsroom, and part private house, in the 19th century.

“It was demolished in 1938, and is now a car park, as you can see in the final time shift. You can also see our old favourite Leigh Pemberton House, before and after its major renovation of 1929.”
