Remembering city centre in old photographs

This collection of old photos of Lincoln was first posted by John Bennett in 2021, but we think it’s more than worth another outing.

John is behind the time–shift videos we regularly post from Light and Dreams Photography.

Of the photos John said: “Some I've found myself just trawling around the internet. But most come from local history groups on facebook, that are a wonderful resource for things like this. “I've tried to put together a varied collection of old photos from around Lincoln. Many are of the High Street and city centre, but others are from residential areas further out. Some are over a century old, whereas others are much more recent. Mind you, for me the 1970 and 80s are recent.”
