Lost pubs of Lincoln

Last weekend’s Light and Dreams video featuring Lincoln’s Green Dragon pub created a huge amount of interest, so we thought we’d revisit some of Lincoln’s lost pubs.

Video creator John Bennett has compiled several ‘lost pubs’ time shift films and this was his first, which premiered in January 2021.

It’s obviously interesting to see some pubs we’d never heard of and others that were old favourites, but also to see how much Lincoln has also changed in the five years (almost) since John released it.

We’ll treat you to some of John’s other lost pubs videos in the coming weeks because as he explained: “Pubs are disappearing everywhere all the time, and Lincoln is no exception. This is just a quick selection of pubs we have lost over the years, some very recently, some a long time ago, how many do you recognise?”
