Learn how to save someone’s life.

People looking to pick up a new skill this January are being urged to learn how to save someone’s life.

The United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH) has online resources to teach people basic life support – the actions members of the public can take to maintain breathing and circulation for a person having a heart attack until emergency help arrives.

According to the Resuscitation Council UK effective CPR more than doubles the chance of someone surviving a cardiac arrest.

Lifesaver is an interactive film by Martin Percy with viewers put at the heart of the action, needing to make crucial decisions and learn the essential skills needed to save a life.

Research shows that 61 per cent of people are not confident enough to use a defibrillator, but these are designed to be used by the public and when they are switched on they will take people through the steps needed to help save a life. The animation posted will increase confidence in using the life saving equipment.
