Do you need a COVID-19 jab?

Health chiefs have launched the NHS Spring COVID19 vaccination campaign urging vulnerable people to book their jabs.

Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is underlining the importance of the elderly or those with an existing health condition getting vaccinations.

This round of COVID19 boosters is being offered to people who are:

  • aged 75 and over (including those who will be 75 by 30 June 2026)
  • living in a care home for older adults
  • aged six months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment

If you are eligible you can book appointments online book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment online or by using the NHS App.

People who are 75 and over may also be eligible for the RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccine, which was previously only available to those aged 75-79, and helps protect against a virus that can cause severe respiratory illness in older adults.

“Vaccination remains one of our strongest tools for preventing serious illness. As we head into spring, we’re urging everyone who is eligible to take up the offer of a COVID19 booster and for those aged 75 and over to also make sure they’re protected against RSV,” said Steve Clapton, the ICB’s Head of Immunisation & Screening.

“Your GP surgery may contact you about getting the RSV vaccine. However, if you haven’t heard from it and are eligible, you should contact it. If your surgery is offering the spring COVID-19 vaccine too, you can have both at the same time.”
