Cliff Villages Medical Practice closed today

Cliff Villages Medical Practice closed today

The Cliff Villages Medical Practice, covering Navenby and Waddington has been closed today, Friday February 20 after its Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration was removed.

The registration is a legal requirement for providing NHS services and can be removed if outlets do not meet standards and comply with regulations, however local health chiefs are assuring patients that the practice’s situation is temporary and due to ‘administrative reasons’.

The NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) has issued the statement below to practice patients.

“All appointments for today and tomorrow will be rearranged. Practice staff will contact you over the coming days to organise this.

Staff are available to answer telephone enquiries from patients. Please only contact with any urgent queries. Any patients with an urgent medical need, please contact NHS111 by telephone or online. In an emergency situation please dial 999.

“NHS Lincolnshire ICB is working with the practice and other local partners and has members of its team on-site to support and ensure safe, high-quality care is reinstated for patients as soon as possible. We will continue to update with further information and reopening times.”

What should patients do?

If you already have an appointment booked, this will be rescheduled. Please wait to be contacted with updated details.

Patients who have already ordered medicines from the dispensary may collect them as usual. Any patient with a prescription who has not yet ordered medicines should use an alternative pharmacy to obtain them. If you have a prescription but have not yet ordered medicines, or are due to run out of medication, please use the NHS App to order and nominate a pharmacy for collection. Alternatively, please call NHS 111 for information on local pharmacies who can provide advice if you run out of medication.

If you have an urgent health need call NHS 111 or visit www.111.nhs.uk for advice or dial 999 in an emergency. Local pharmacies can also help with minor illnesses but may experience extra pressure. Please be patient and give plenty of notice where possible.
