MP visits Southside

MP visits Southside

MP Hamish Falconer has visited Southside to show his support for the arts and community hub.

Southside’s aim is to bring a wealth of entertainment and people-focused events to the southern section of the city, which owner Colin Webb believes is often overlooked in favour of uphill Lincoln.

“We were very pleased to welcome our MP Hamish Falconer, to Southside, to see first-hand what makes us tick.,” said Colin.

“Hamish has been very supportive of our efforts to provide a cultural focus for the south of the city and also improve our approach to heritage and the visitor economy.

“His visit came hard on the heels of us winning a substantial grant from Arts Council England to bring World Music to our quarter of Lincoln and submitting a major bid to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for which Hamish wrote a personal letter of support.

“Investment in the southern High Street is a cause close to all our hearts, and we are fortunate to have an MP so closely aligned to this goal.”
