Lincoln’s live music scene with Jo Richards

Lincoln’s live music scene has never been better than in 2025.

The big-stage venues, The Engine Shed, The Drill and Southside have attracted top artists such as Blossoms and Ocean Colour Scene.

Lincoln Castle’s shows brought a festival feel to the summer, with 80s stars such as Sting and Simple Minds.

The Lincoln Live event presented a staggering 24 regional artists in just a single weekend.

Grassroots venues such as The Komodo and The Scene have worked hard to showcase local talent and the entertainment at Stack on the High St is free throughout the week.

Pubs in all four corners of Lincoln come alive at the weekends, including: The Birdcage off Monks Road, The Vic on Union Road, The Adam & Eve on Lindum Road and The Jolly Brewer on Broadgate, which has Lincoln’s best outdoor stage.

Events have been stepped up at The Joiners Arms on Victoria Street. Local performers, Silver State recently raised the crowd to a frenzy and The Faith Estate promise to do the same on October 3.

Lincoln will fill with new students this weekend, but why should the freshers have all the fun? Here’s what’s on offer:

Friday, September 19, The Komodo – Club Hazy/Masterville/Archie Laws

Saturday, September 20, The Jolly Brewer – Lincoln Folk Festival: Salt of the Earth/Austin T/The Rye Sisters/Max Sander/Grassroots High Rollers/Serena Smith/Last Chance Salon/Birdcage Ukulele Orchestra

Sunday, September 21, Stack – West End Girl/John Grant
