Get connected with felt at Harding House

Intricate work showcasing the talents of local artists can be seen at the Felt Connected exhibition at Harding House.

Eighteen women from Region 8 of the International Feltmakers Association, which covers the East Midlands, have come together to showcase the versatility of sheep fibre.

“Our aim was threefold: firstly, to connect our members who often work alone, secondly, to showcase the diversity of fibre, particularly felting and thirdly, to promote our organisation in the hope of attracting new members,” explained member Jo Cook.

The exhibition is currently showing at the gallery on Steep Hill, Lincoln and will be open every day until 3pm on March 29.

“Each day there will be an artist in residence who will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. The artist of the day will be working on their own project during the exhibition and these will differ greatly,” added Jo.

“There is also a discovery area where you are able to touch and feel samples of different types of felting and learn more about the different techniques.”
