First art talk of new season
Textile and ceramic artist Nicki Jarvis will give the first talk in the new series of events from OPen Art Lincs (OPAL).
Nicki explores landscape, domesticity and social justice through her work and also teaches at the Oxcombe Potteries near Horncastle.
Her talk, A Creative Life – A Midterm Review, will take place on Tuesday, September 23 at 7pm at St Nicholas Church Hall, Newport, Lincoln (LN1 3DP).
The community arts facilitator and occasional heritage consultant is now in her mid fifties so taking stock and reflecting on the ways in which the different strands of her career now interconnect, offering exciting possibilities for creative exploration.
Nicki is a steadfast believer in the notion that making space for creativity is a vital tool for supporting personal development, health and well-being, and community cohesion. She will share her own experiences, examples of her work and the inspirations for her next steps in Lincolnshire and beyond.
