RAF Waddington raised more than £21,000 for RAFA
RAF Waddington has been awarded the Sir Geoffrey Bromet Trophy for 2024 for raising more than £21,000 for the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA).
The award was presented at the RAFA Annual Conference by Air Marshal Sir Baz North (right) to the then Station Commander Group Captain Dominic ‘Dutch’ Holland and Warrant Officer Louise Calvert.
“This award honours exceptional achievement and outstanding support provided by an RAF unit to the Royal Air Forces Association. It reflects the dedication, professionalism, and community spirit of the entire RAF Waddington team,” said a spokesperson for the base.
“Although RAF Waddington raised an impressive £21,641.45 in 2024, the Lord Tedder Trophy for the highest fundraising total went to RAF Brize Norton. Nevertheless, winning the Sir Geoffrey Bromet Trophy is a tremendous honour and a testament to our commitment to supporting RAFA. Congratulations to everyone involved - a truly well-deserved achievement.”
