Lincoln Santa Fun Run returns for its 20th anniversary
Lincoln’s most festive fundraiser is preparing to mark a major milestone as the Santa Fun Run gets ready to celebrate its 20th anniversary this December.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia, the popular family event will return to the city’s historic uphill streets on Sunday 14th December 2025, with 2,000 red-suited Santas expected to take part.
Participants will once again gather at Castle Hill Square, setting off on a scenic route past Lincoln’s most iconic landmarks before finishing in front of Lincoln Cathedral.
Runners and walkers can choose between a 2km (one lap) or 4km (two laps) course - and this year, all finishers will receive a special commemorative medal to celebrate the 20th anniversary.
The event will also include:
- A free bag drop
- Dog station for furry friends
- Face painting and mini roundabout for children
- Festive musical warm-up
- Post-run snacks
- A collection point for foodbank donations
Organisers are encouraging people to sign up early to secure their place. Entry opens on 1st July 2025 via the event website: The 20th Lincoln Santa Fun Run - The Lincoln Santa Fun Run
All funds raised go directly to charity, with participants invited to raise sponsorship for causes close to their heart or for one of the Rotary’s nominated charity partners.
