Donation underlines cathedral connection

RAF Waddington recently donated £2500 from the Station's Charities Fund to Lincoln Cathedral.

RAF Waddington has links to the Cathedral dating back to the Second World War when bomber crews would seek out the landmark as they coasted in helping them aim for home. 

The base also features the cathedral on its badge as a symbol of its importance to the station community. 

RAF Waddington has also looked to the Cathedral for support during times of loss noting several station personnel have been laid to rest in services held within its walls.
