Dog rescue charity backed by Stokes

A charity that cares for abandoned, neglected and mistreated dogs is to get a boost from a Lincoln business.

Stokes Coffee and Tea has named Jerry Green Dog Rescue its charity of the year.

“Stokes is dedicated to creating a positive impact on the environment and our community. While we maintain various ongoing partnerships, each year we focus our efforts on one primary charity. Our 2026 chosen charity of the year is Jerry Green Dog Rescue, transforming the lives of dogs in need,” said a spokesperson.

“For over 60 years, Jerry Green Dog Rescue has been giving abandoned, neglected and mistreated dogs a second chance, finding them safe, loving homes where they can truly belong.

“Every dog is unique and worth fighting for, which is why their expert, dog-centred approach ensures each one receives tailored care, training and lifelong support.”

Stokes will contribute to the funds needed for the charity’s rescue work including money raised through Managing Director, Nick Peel’s, weekly dance fit classes designed to boost cardio, coordination, and flexibility on Thursdays at 9am.

All proceeds from the classes in the Blue Room at the company’s headquarters at The Lawn complex will go directly to the charity. Further donations to Jerry Green will also be made by customers through Stokes’ online shop and on-site at its cafes.
